The University will do this through a government-approved scheme called MyDeposits, operated by Tenancy Deposit Solutions Ltd.
This means if you comply with your tenancy agreement, do not damage the property and pay your rent and bills on time, we are obliged to return your deposit to you in full, minus any agreed deductions, within ten days of both landlord and tenant agreeing how much will be returned.
MyDeposits also provides a free and impartial dispute resolution service in the event of a disagreement.
Once we have received your deposit we will provide you with a certificate. You are required to sign this and return a copy to the team.
