Check-in appointment
We like to meet all our new tenants and welcome them to their new home. We feel the best way to do this is at a check-in appointment on the day you move in or a couple of days later (if you move in on a weekend).
The appointment is an opportunity to meet members of the team and ask any questions about the property or your tenancy.
We like to give you the chance to go through the inventory in your own time, but we are happy to do this with you at your check-in appointment if you prefer.
At the end of the tenancy the property must be returned to us in the same condition, aside from ‘fair wear and tear’, so make sure any problems are noted in the inventory.
Insurance
The University covers the buildings insurance and any University-owned contents. We advise that you take out a contents insurance policy which covers (among other things) accidental damage to your landlord’s possessions as well as your own.
