If you wish to keep a pet in your rented property then the University may grant permission provided that the written consent has been obtained from the Residential Lettings team. We will consider whether the property is suitable for the type of pet.
If permission is given this is on the condition that any pets must be well looked after and must not cause a nuisance to neighbors or local residents. You will be responsible and liable for any damage to University property and furniture caused by the pet and for any necessary costs associated with cleaning, deodorising your property and treating for fleas.
When permission to keep a pet has been granted a more detailed document will be issued to sign. This document provides a detailed list of regulations to which tenants must adhere. Any permission is revocable at any time.
